Media Lesson 02/12

In this lesson we all looked at each groups pitches. On a grade of 1-4 (1 being the lowest), we got a low 3. After that we started doig our shot lists.

Media Lesson 18/11

In this lesson we looked at the film Cutting Edge, we analysed it and wrote down note on what the film used, for example, some of my notes included, slow motion, close-ups, pov shots, cross cutting, low key lighting, back lighting (silhouette) exageratted noises. We were also given the task to write a 1000 word essay on thriller movies. We also worked on our mood boards in this lesson.

Media Lesson 11/11/11

In todays lesson we analysed some opening extracts and looked at camera, sound, mise-en-scene etc. We also worked on our mood boards and thought of some more ideas on what we could include in our opening sequence.

In todays lesson we looked at how different camera angles affect how we look at the picture.

Media Lesson 01/11

In this lesson we learnt more about sound used in films and TV, we also learnt new key terms such as 'Mode of Address' and 'Sound Motif.'

Media Studies 11/10

In this lesson I learnt about different lighting techniques and how the lighting affects the shot. I also learnt about diegenic and nondiegenic sound and how sound bridges are used. We also watched a short documentary on how music and sound effects are done for films.

Media Lesson 07/10

This was my second Media Studies lesson. In the lesson I learnt about different camera shots, such as close ups, medium shots, etc. We also looked at Terminator 2 and analysed it, I need help with technical terms though, as I found it hard to write about the things I observed.
